Wakley Hollow Boutique was made to deliver fashionable, affordable and comfortable clothing while also being relatable. It’s built around being a mom. Being a mom is hard work, looking cute while doing it – shouldn’t be! Regardless if you are a mom or not, every peice is built to be versatile and easy to wear, providing comfort, functionality and longevity. I opened a women’s fashion boutique to be able to inspire and empower women and to remind them that they are beautiful. Therefore, we carry sizes small through 3X!
Sweet bean was launched in 2014 as a side-hustle by husband + wife team, Bob + Kristin Barnes. Looking for a creative outlet, and a way to exit her corporate desk job, Kristin married her art background with her love of candy to create sweet bean’s signature bonbons – tiny works of art that taste even better than they look… Bob got his hands dirty in 2015 when he began roasting cacao beans and making single-origin chocolate from bean to bar. In 2019, Kristin left her day job to focus on chocolate full-time, and on February 1st 2021, the duo opened the sweet bean chocolate studio + workshop in Collinwood at the LaSalle Theatre.
Cleveland Tintype
Invented in 1851, the wet plate collodion process is one of the earliest photographic techniques. Originally done the process was done on glass and called an ambrotype, When the technique came to America in 1856, tin became an inexpensive substrate and the tintype was created. I follow the same process used in the 1850s to create handcrafted, one of kind portraits.
I spend a majority of my time on Cleveland’s East Side, but not limited in my travel. I’ve been all over Ohio, to Boston, MA, and as far away as Cancun, Mexico capturing images of the important memories in my client’s lives. I’m comfortable taking your portraits in a summer field or the concrete landscape of the big city. In addition to often finding my portraits on the walls of my client’s homes you can also see them on the walls of many area corporations. North Pointe Ballet, United Cerebral Palsy Cleveland, Embassy Healthcare, Spice of Life Catering Company and On Search Partners are some area businesses that I call clients. I am also a member of OhioDance.
I’m a Clevelander at heart. I was born and raised here. I bleed Indians’ Blue and Red, Browns’ Orange and Cavs’ Wine and Gold. I garden in the Spring, cursing the late frost. I watch Summer sunsets along our lake shore, while skipping stones with my children. I spend our crisp, Autumn evenings around bonfires making s’mores. And I have a big snow blower for our wonderful Winters!
